Captain Jack T Casey, USMC Memorial 5K (2026)

Captain Jack T Casey, USMC Memorial 5K will be held at St Thomas Aquinas High School on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at 9AM. Jack, who was born and raised in Dover, was a CH53E helicopter pilot who was killed with four other crewmen while on active duty on February 7, 2024.
This 5K will help fund a secondary education scholarship for local high school seniors, as well as cadets at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia. In life, Jack had a positive impact on so many people, with his light humor, leadership, and willingness to help others in any way he could. We strive to have Jack's legacy continue to help others improve their lives.
Participants are welcome to run or walk.

Dover Race Series Events

Dover Race Series logo

The Dover Race Series consists of ten races which take place over the course of the calendar year. Registered participants completing 6 out of 10, 5k races will receive a series jacket.

Ages will be determined as of January 1st. Female and Male winners in three age categories; Kids (14 & Under), Series (15-59) and a Senior Division (60 & Older).

Each race has a point value for each gender. First place finisher will receive 100 points with each finisher after receiving points based on percentage of winning time (If the winner ran the race in 15 min and you run it in 30 min you would receive 50 points Formula = [Your Time / Winning Time] X100. If a runner runs more than the 7 races their top 7 scores will be used for the final tally.
