Ghoul it up at the 2024 Dover Middle School Pumpkin Dash 5K, Sunday, October 27, 2024, 8:30 am as the 9th race in the Dover Race Series. No bones ☠️ about it, the Pumpkin Dash 5K will be Spook-tacular👻!
The Dover Middle School Parent Teacher Association (DMS PTA) is a non-profit run by parent volunteers. All proceeds will be used to enhance the DMS students’ learning by helping to fund improved technology, offsite experiences, and other activities.
New for 2024: we’re having a costume contest! Join us for this family-friendly community event for a good cause!
Registration information:
- $25 Ages 15+
- $15 Ages 14 and under
- $10 for currently enrolled DMS students
Shirts can be purchased on our registration page, at pre-registration and the day of the race.
Race packets may be picked up at pre-registration on Friday, October 25th from 3pm-5pm @ Dover Middle School.

About the DMS Pumpkin Dash 5k
At the DMS Pumpkin Dash 5K, we are bringing the community together for fitness and fun with cash prizes, a costume contest, live music, and more! Whether you are dashing or monster mashing to the finish line, this race is open to community members of all ages and fitness levels. It’s sure to be a howl-ing good time!
Speaking of spooky - middle school can be a challenging time socially and emotionally. By joining us for the Pumpkin Dash 5K you are directly helping to provide classroom materials, programs, and experiences to enrich the school environment for DMS students, teachers, and families. Historically, programs such as the DMS anti-bullying and the author in residence have been funded in part by the proceeds of the Pumpkin Dash 5k.

Dover Race Series Events
The Dover Race Series consists of ten races which take place over the course of the calendar year. Registered participants completing 6 out of 10, 5k races will receive a series jacket.
Ages will be determined as of January 1st. Female and Male winners in three age categories; Kids (14 & Under), Series (15-59) and a Senior Division (60 & Older).
Each race has a point value for each gender. First place finisher will receive 100 points with each finisher after receiving points based on percentage of winning time (If the winner ran the race in 15 min and you run it in 30 min you would receive 50 points Formula = [Your Time / Winning Time] X100. If a runner runs more than the 7 races their top 7 scores will be used for the final tally.
