2023 - Dover Middle School Pumpkin Dash 5k!

Dover, NH, September 14, 2023 – The Dover Middle School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is excited to announce the next DMS Pumpkin Dash 5k! The event is taking place on Sunday, October 22, 2023 and it is the 9th race in the Dover Race Series, sponsored by Mass General Brigham Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. The race will start and end at Dover Middle School, 16 Daley Drive, Dover, NH at 8:30am. Bib pickup is available Friday, October 20 from 3-6pm at the front of Dover Middle School, and on race day starting at 7:00am. Race shirts are being distributed at these times, as well, to the first 200 registrants.
Early registration is available online until midnight on Thursday, October 19. Entry fee is $25 for adults, $10 for ages 14 and under, and $5 for currently-enrolled Dover Middle School students. Registration will also be available at bib pickup, and early registration fees will be valid until 6:00pm on Friday, October 20. All fees will increase by $5.00 for same day registrations.
Proceeds will help to support the Dover Middle School Parent Teacher Association (PTA). The PTA is a group of parents and teachers who work together to provide funding for enhanced learning opportunities for our school community of over 1200 students. These activities include, but are not limited to, subsidizing funding for student field trips to the Browne Center at UNH, Performing Arts and Community Service activities. We also provide financial assistance to support the Library Fund, physical education equipment, technology equipment, art supplies, and enrichment funds for Guidance and Advisory groups.

Red’s Race for a Better Community – 5 mile run and 2.4 mile walk in Dover on April 16th

The 39th annual Red’s Race for a Better Community will take place on Saturday, April 16th, 2022 in Downtown Dover. The event is open to anyone who wants to run or walk to raise money for three local non-profits who provide important services in Strafford County. These non-profits are Community Action Partnership of Strafford County, Seymour Osman Community Center, and Woodman Park Parent Teacher Organization. The race is 5 miles for runners and 2.4 miles for walkers. Registration will begin at 8am on April 16th and the race will begin at 10am.

SMA 5k Set For Saturday, April 9th

Saint Mary Academy will host their 9th annual SMA 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 9 with a 9:00 am start.
As part of the Dover Race Series, SMA race coordinators are looking forward to hosting the SMA 5k that takes runners through historic downtown Dover and the Dover Community Trail.
The Run Before You Crawl 5k is Coming March 12

Dover Main Street's 8th Annual Run Before You Crawl 5k is the kick-off race to the 2022 Dover Race Series and features the classic loop course which goes out Chestnut Street, to Washington Street, up the infamous Whittier Street hill, down 6th Street, and back to Chestnut. New this year will be a large heated registration tent in the transportation center parking lot to help stave off the cold before race time. Water and snacks will be provided by Janetos Market and Hannaford’s.
