Run Early, Eat All Day! Dover Turkey Trot is Thanksgiving Day!

This year marks the ninth anniversary of the Dover Turkey Trot road race and we are excited to celebrate this milestone! The Dover Turkey Trot will take place on Thursday, November 24, 2022 at the Garrison Elementary School. As you may know, the Dover Turkey Trot is a 5k road race designed for runners of all ages and abilities and has become a highly anticipated and fun family Thanksgiving Day tradition with close to 1,000 registered runners. Help us to promote a healthy lifestyle at this fun-filled community event that will benefit the Garrison School PTA.
The PTA raises funds to provide items that fall outside the realm of the current school budget such as the teacher mini-grant program, teacher appreciation, sponsorship of family and community events, purchase of “extras” for the classrooms, and help in subsidizing field trips and guest speakers. This race is our primary school fundraiser. We hope that you can join us to walk or run on the morning of Thanksgiving! The Run Before You Crawl 5k is Coming March 12

Dover Main Street's 8th Annual Run Before You Crawl 5k is the kick-off race to the 2022 Dover Race Series and features the classic loop course which goes out Chestnut Street, to Washington Street, up the infamous Whittier Street hill, down 6th Street, and back to Chestnut. New this year will be a large heated registration tent in the transportation center parking lot to help stave off the cold before race time. Water and snacks will be provided by Janetos Market and Hannaford’s.
The DRS Is Back for 2022!

After a two year hiatus due to COVID-19, the Dover Race Series is back for the 2022 season. The DRS is proud to present ten races that run from March through November, 2022. The season kicks off with Dover Main Street's Run Before You Crawl 5k on Saturday, March 12, 2022 and will be the opening race for the DRS. Season Passes for all races may be obtained by visiting our registration page.
